Sneha Bhavan

In 2011 a home for Girls was established in Balasore district, Odisha with 10 children.  The first three years, they were living under the care of a couple in a rental house. In addition, there was someone to help with tuitions, a counselor and opportunities to develop their cultural talents. Children were sent to the nearby schools and they were the top rank holders in their respective classes.  The inmates will be part of this home until the age of eighteen with the best education and healthcare facilities, a suitable environment to tap their potentials, to excel in different areas of life, have a secure foothold in life and be the vanguards of a dynamic social change in the future.

Currently, we have our own campus with five new buildings, spacious enough to accommodate 40 children and staff. At present there are about 25 under privileged children in Sneha Bhavan. In 2014 we received recognition and approval from the government to continue to function and develop the home.  Most of the children come from Mayurbhanj district and are studying in the nearby public school. Elaborate arrangements are made to give them training in music, sports etc. so that they have constructive diversions during their leisure time. Tutors play an important role in order to ensure that the children are active and updated in their curricular studies. Moral classes and counseling are given time to time.
