History

The present Board members of PEACE for India, working in different parts of India joined hand to hand to work among the lower lever of community with a common goal in the year 2009. In the beginning we were concentrating only in education system.  This scheme was to reach out to the rural as well as slum communities in urban area to give structured education to underprivileged children. These centers are usually in areas where government run facilities are either non-existent or not sufficiently equipped to meet the needs. The scheme was designed to provide quality education and focus on extracurricular activities for the holistic development of the children.

Later in 2010 we have expanded our activities to uplift parentless and children with single parent.  As a part of this, we started a home for boys called Biswas Bhavan in Baripada Town, Odisha with 10 boys. Then in 2011 SNEHA Bhavan Children's Home, came into existence with the induction of 10 girls. These homes were running in rental houses in Mayurbhanju and  Balasore districts of Odisha. In 2014 June we registered a Trust called “Peniel Educational and Charitable Establishment (PEACE) for India Trust, Regd.No.2014-1081406394. In 2013 we purchased a piece of land in Baliapeta village, Mayurbhenju District for the purpose of constructing s Girls home, a Boys home and a Widows home. During the month of May 2014 we completed construction of three buildings and moved the girls home to the new premises called Shanthi Nagar.
